Chiredzi Woman walks away with ZWL$ 100 000 from Pure Oils competition

An entrepreneur Ms. Dudzai Baloyi from Tshovani in Chiredzi has walked away with ZWL100 000 in the ZimGold Millionaire promotion after she purchased a box of cooking oil-worthy ZWL$3 360.00.

The ZimGold Millionaire promotion requires customers to buy  ZimGold cooking oil at any of the participating wholesale outlets at least a box for one to have a chance to win.

Speaking at the handover of the cheque held at Pure Oils offices in Harare this Monday, Baloyi said she was very happy to win the prize in her life.

“I am so happy. For the first time in my life, I have won a competition so I was very happy to receive the message as I was on my way from Bulawayo. At first, I thought it was a joke but after following the steps on the scratch card and after which I got a response, I realised that I had indeed won,” she said.

Baloyi, a single mother of one bought a box of ZimGold cooking oil for ZWL$ 3 360 at Chiredzi’s N Richards in October and found a scratch card inside the box with a pin entry number that she sent to a WhatsApp number on the same scratch card.

Baloyi added that she’s to expand her tuck shop business she runs in Tsvovani township of Chiredzi with the money and also to pay for tuition fees for her 16-year-old son who’s in Form Three.

Speaking at the same occasion Pure Oils Head of Marketing and Public Relations, Lesley Gibbons said,  “With the ZimGold Millionaire promotion, we just want to cheer our customers who have supported us through thick and thin by giving them back what they have invested so much in us.  The ZimGold Millionaire promotion is a life-changing opportunity to the winners especially to the lucky winner who will take the one million dollars grand prize to become a millionaire,” she said.

The promotion which started in  October has since been extended to the 30th of November 2020 after an initial November 14 deadline has seen more than 200 cash winners walking away with ZWL$ 1 000 and the Grand prize will be ZWL$1 million. The lucky winner  will be crowned on the 30th of this month.
